EVO II Dual 640T Support

Frequently asked questions

We've put everything you need to get started with your EVO II Dual 640T right here. If you still have questions browse the topics on the left.

Aircraft

The EVO II Dual 640T was specifically built to serve industries and applications in public safety, inspection, search & rescue, fire response, and law enforcement.
In a steady environment, the max flight time can reach up to 38 minutes.

Remote controller

There is a Micro USB port and a Type-A port at the bottom of the remote controller which can be used for connecting external devices and charging.
Under the FCC standard, the maximum image transmission distance is 9km; under the CE standard, the maximum image transmission distance is 5 km.
Check your surroundings for potential interference factors and then adjust the orientation of your antennas to enhance signal strength.

Camera

Visible light camera: 1/2-inch CMOS image sensor, 48M effective pixels, supporting 8K video recordinng. Thermal imaging camera: vanadium oxide uncooled infrared focal plane detector with a resolution of 640×512.
±3℃ or ±3% of reading (whichever is greater) @ambient temperature -20℃~60℃.

Battery

It takes approximately 90 minutes to fully charge each battery.
  1. Do not expose the battery to temperatures below -10°C or above 40°C, which will shorten the battery life and may cause fire, explosion or other permanent damage;
  2. Do not charge immediately after flight; it is recommended to charge the battery after it has dropped to room temperature;
  3. The ideal charging environment temperature of the battery is 10 °C~30 °C;
  4. The ideal storage environment temperature of the battery is 22 °C~28 °C. When storing, it should be waterproof and moisture-proof, and avoid sunlight;
  5. Recharge and discharge the battery every 3 months or so to keep the battery active.
Using the battery in a low temperature environment may reduce the battery life. For optimal performance, it is recommended to keep the battery temperature above 15 °C before flying.
A single battery contains 82Wh. According to airline requirements, the battery can be carried on board.

Features

Yes, we provide free temperature analysis tool IR PC TOOL.
When noise appears on the screen, select FFC calibration to optimize image quality.
  • Influence of the atmosphere: the higher the temperature and humidity of the atmosphere, the greater the temperature measurement error.
  • The distance between the camera and the measured object: the farther the distance, the greater the temperature measurement error.
  • The emissivity and background temperature of the object: When the surface emissivity of the measured object is low and the background temperature is high, it will cause a large temperature measurement error.
Yes, although this aircraft model is not specifically designed for surveying and mapping, it is functionally supported.

Sofeware & Firmware upgrade

You can download the firmware package manually through the official website, or update the firmware through the Autel Explorer application.
  • If the device is turned off during the upgrade process, the upgrade will fail.
  • If the network is interrupted while downloading the firmware package, the upgrade will fail.
  • Only when the remaining battery power of the device is ≥ 50% can the upgrade be performed.
